There are 22 maps, some half-page. There are three maps relating to missions in the United States: Ojibwa and Sioux Missions; Indian Missions West of the Mississippi; and Oregon Mission. Four of the maps and three of the views relate to Hawaii, others include Africa, India, Ceylon, Borneo, etc. etc. A few with hand coloring in outline, whether original or not is not determined. Provenance: Maggs, 10/92 References: Fitzpatrick, The Early Mapping of Hawai'i, pp 115-117, re the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions and the maps of Hawai'i (R).
