In-4 (221 x 167 mm) de 20 ff.n.ch. de texte calligraphié, 76 dessins à double page coloriées au lavis; vélin ivoire, dos à nerfs, titre manuscrit (reliure italienne de l' époque). Vitry, 675. Beau manuscrit italien en latin, calligraphié au milieu du XVIIe siècle. La première partie traite de l'arpentage; elle est organisée en 11 questions et solutions, illustrées par 22 planches. La seconde partie traite de l'élévation de constructions et comment appliquer les cinq ordres d'architecture classique; elle contient quatorze questions et solutions, illustrées par 54 planches. La dernière contient grand nombre de dessins d'architecture (voûtes, façades, vues d'intérieur, fortifications, etc.). On remarque notamment des aménagements d'intérieur avec des volets, portes, et objets de décorations, tous mis en perspective. Le manuscrit fait probablement partie d'un cours d'architecture et d'optique et contient les bases fondamentales des oeuvres d'Alberti dans leur adaptation par Serlio, Piero della Francesca, Guarini, etc. Première garde détachée, quelques rares rousseurs, sinon bel exemplaire entièrement non rogné. Anonymous illustrated manuscript with 76 skillfully executed double page ink and wash perspective diagrams accompanied by Latin text, most likely comprising the perspective section of an Italian optics course. An overview of the fundamentals of perspective theory, the work presents Albertian techniques as adapted by Serlio, Piero della Francesca, and others. Structured in two parts, with the diagrams bound after the text portion, the manuscript deals with ichonographia (plans and surveying) and the second with elevations, or three-dimensional diagrams. Many of the diagrams are architectural in nature, illustrating arches, stairs, windows and doors.
