MANUSCRIPT -- "The Pleadings & Orations of Monsieur Le Maistre ... at the Golden Cross in St. James Street, 1660", 4° (160 x 210mm), 223 leaves in a legal hand with some flourish, being an English translation from the 5th edition of Le Maistre's Les Plaidoyez et Harangues de M. Le Maistre , containing 7 cases only (the table of contents calls for 38 cases and lists pagination up to 786, title and final leaf heavily soiled, other leaves with some dust soiling), 19th-century paper wrappers (rubbed, gutta percha partially perished causing many leaves to be detatched) -- "Praelectiones im Jus Legationum ... Leipzig, 1770", 4° (160 x 192mm), 156 leaves in a legal hand, contemporary half sheep, spine gilt; and 9 other documents of a legal nature, including 2 from the 1390s and a fragment on papyrus. (11)
