Small octavo-format devotional manuscript on laid paper, 107 numbered pages; text in black and red ink, with prayers in Latin in the first seventy-one pages, followed by a section from pages 72-97 titled Esercizio Spirituale dell'Eterna Sapienza, ending with a life of Suso and a prayer to Saint Gertrude; illustrated with a full-page original miniature painting of a dove flying in the white center of a triangular explosion of red, and two small ornamental tail-pieces of the IHS symbol and a sacred heart pierced with three arrows; contemporary dark brown pebbled leather over thin wooden boards, spine mostly missing, structurally intact, 6 x 4 in.
