Große Schale auf kleinem Fußring. Weiß glasiert. Im Spiegel ist in einem runden Bildfeld ein Kardinals-Wappen zu sehen. Es zeigt einen Baum, dem rechts eine Hand mit Schwert und links ein Löwe zur Seite gestellt sind. Unter der oberen Kante sind zwei Sterne abgebildet. Das Wappen prangt in einer geschweiften Kartusche, über der ein Kardinalshut schwebt. Ein umlaufendes Band ist beschriftet "PETR ALEX/PROCACCINUS/PROTHONOTAP/APOSTOLI ET VICAR/GENER/PENNEN/ANNO DOMINI 1682". Die Bemalung in Mangan, Blau, Gelb, Orange und Grün. Guter Zustand. Anmerkung: Das Schwert steht für Gerechtigkeit, der Löwe für Tapferkeit, zwei der Kardinalstugenden. Das Wappen ist dem der Familie Procaccini sehr verwandt. Die repräsentative Schale wurde wohl zur Verleihung der Kardinalswürde gefertigt. (9300062) Maiolica armorial dish Diameter: 29.6 cm. Castelli, 1682. Large dish on small foot ring. White glazing. At the centre, in a round field, painting of a cardinal's coat of arms depicting a tree with a sword-bearing hand on the right and a lion on the left side. Below the upper rim are two stars. The arms are painted in a cartouche topped with a cardinal hat. A scroll around the cartouche reads PETRALEX/PROCACCINUS/PROTHONOTAP/APOSTOLI ET VICAR/GENER/PENNEN/ANNO DOMINI 1682. Painted in manganese, blue, yellow, orange and green. Good condition. Notes: The sword symbolises justice and the lion, fortitude - two of a cardinal's virtues. The coat of arms is closely related to the arms of the Procaccini family. It can be assumed that the prestigious dish was commissioned for the cardinal's ordination.
