Queen Joséphine NecklaceProperty From An Exceptional Royal CollectionMagnificent and Historically Important Natural Pearl and Diamond Necklace瑰麗顯赫的天然珍珠 配 鑽石 項鏈 The fringe necklace composed of two strands of one hundred and five natural pearls measuring from approximately 6.25 to 8.45mm, suspending seven detachable drop-shaped natural pearls, measuring from approximately 9.55 - 9.50 x 13.85 to 14.85 - 14.10 x 21.25mm, capped with rose-cut diamonds, to the clasp set with an old-mine-cut diamond, shortest length approximately 390mm, each pearl strand detachable, accompanied by a portrait of Queen Joséphine wearing the necklace, measuring approximately 870 x 720mm. Accompanied by a photocopy of SSEF report no. 76248, dated 10 September 2014, stating that one hundred and eleven pearls are natural saltwater pearls and one is natural freshwater pearl. Accompanied by a photocopy of SSEF report no. 76248, dated 10 September 2014, stating that one hundred and eleven pearls are natural saltwater pearls and one is natural freshwater pearl. Also accompanied by Danat premium report no. 109014, dated 10 June 2019, stating that all the pearls are natural with one hundred and eleven saltwater and one freshwater. Please refer to the reports for further details. Metal probably gold and silver. Pearl on average of round, ovoid-, barrel- and drop-shaped, with white to light cream body colour, very good to excellent lustre, with natural blemishes, some with rosé and green overtones, some with internal crazing but majority only noticeable under close inspection; two drop-shaped pearls with drilled through hole. Old-mine-cut diamond estimated to weigh approximately 4.50-5.00 carats, about J-K colour, SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Rose-cut diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal commensurate with age, silver with good patina. Overall in very good condition. Accompanied by a portrait of Queen Joséphine wearing the necklace, measuring approximately 870 x 720mm.
