The rectangular bottle raised on an oval footrim, its sloping shoulders supporting a cylindrical neck beneath a flat lip; one side painted with a flower peddler with his body leaning forward, and his crossed arms resting on a wooden pole suspending a basket on either side, all below a poetic inscription, carrying a signature reading Shaoxuan, followed by a square seal cartouche; the reverse with a thirty-eight character poem preceded by the date jihai zhongchun (second month of 1899), signed Ma Shaoxuan and with one oval seal cartouche.
