Lot consists of: (A) 1990 vintage .45 LC caliber Colt 3rd generation Single Action Army revolver enhanced by US Historical Society as a well executed Roy Rogers commemorative, recognizing "50 Years of Entertainment and Public Service, 1940-1990". Silver plated finish with foliate scroll engraving throughout and gold plated small parts. 4-3/4" length round barrel with 2-line US Historical Society address and "King of the Cowboys/SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" markings, in addition to engraved Roy Rogers signature. Blade front sight and frame channel rear sight. Left side of recoil shield emblazoned with bust of Rogers. Imitation pearl grips with double R monogram on left and commemorative silver plaque on right. Housed in French fitted display case with commemorative plaque. CONDITION: Excellent as enhanced. Nearly all of the reapplied finishes are retained with silver exhibiting a very attractive patina. Grips very good with double R monogram loosing patina. Case very good with handling marks. (B) Uberti produced .45 Colt caliber Single Action Army copy enhanced by US Historical Society as Roy Rogers 50 year commemorative. Blued finish with gold plated accents including cylinder. 4-3/4" round barrel marked in gold on left "U.S. HISTORICAL SOCIETY" and on right "KING OF THE COWBOYS" with Roy Rogers signature. Cylinder and frame decorated with musical motifs. 2-piece imitation stag grips. Housed in French fitted wood display case with commemorative plaque. CONDITION: Excellent as enhanced. Virtually all reapplied finishes are retained with a few handling marks. Left grip has a few minor chips. Case very good with handling marks. Excellent bore. Guns are also accompanied by by 2 hardbound copies of "It was Always the Music" by Roy Rogers and Eric van Hamersveld in excellent condition.
