Avec de nouvelle estampes de ceremonies turques qui ont aussi leurs explications, second edition, in French [Paris, Jacques Collombat, 1714-15] containing title, engraved title, engraved music sheet and 75 plates (one of these double-page), lacking 25 plates (numbers 1-4, 8-10, 12, 13, 18-20, 23, 25, 27, 29-34, 36-38 and 40), with an additional titlepage, engraved title and 3 plates in duplicate (numbers 49, 59 and 62) loosely inserted, a few small stains and scuff marks, overall very clean and bright condition, engraved Rutland bookplate to upper pastedown, contemporary calf-backed marbled boards, upper crease split and becoming loose, rubbed, large folio Provenance: The Dukes of Rutland, their 19th-century armorial bookplate to upper pastedown; then Christie's 20 May 1981, lot 481.
