M.C.C. tour to India 1933/34. Large autograph album comprising a comprehensive and excellent collection of signatures from the tour of the M.C.C. touring party and opposition teams, each team signed nicely signed in ink to an individual page, the odd page signed back to back. One page is fully signed by all seventeen members of the M.C.C. touring party. Signatures are Jardine (Captain), Walters, Valentine, Nichols, Townsend, Mitchell, Verity, Human, Elliott, Langridge, Levett, Barnett, Bakewell, Clark, Gregory, Marriott and Ricketts (Manager). Twenty other pages are signed by members of opposition teams which M.C.C. played during the tour. Teams and matches are C.B. Notable Indian's signatures include Maharaja of Patiala, C.K. Nayudu, S. Wazir Ali, V.M. Merchant, L.P. Jai, C.S. Nayudu, R.J.D. Jamshedji, M. Nisar, Naoomal Jaoomal, L. Amar Singh etc. The album Includes three original sepia candid photographs of match action, one featuring Herbert Sutcliffe in batting action. The owner of the album is not known, possibly a member of the M.C.C. party, or an individual following the tour. Breaking to album hinges and page block, odd page loose, the signed pages in very good condition. An excellent comprehensive collection of signatures from the first M.C.C.
