William Anders, Frank Borman or James Lovell An oblique view into the Tsiolkovsky Crater Apollo 8, 21-27 December 1968 Vintage chromogenic print on fibre-based paper, 20.5 x 25.5 cm (8 x 10 in), [NASA AS8-14-2447], with A KODAK PAPER watermarks on the verso (NASA/North American Rockwell) Footnotes: Oblique view of the lunar surface taken from the Apollo 8 spacecraft looking across the crater Tsiolkovsky which is centred near 129° E and 21° S and is the most prominent crater of the Moon's backside. The flat floor of Tsiolkovsky is much darker than the surrounding lunar surface. It is darker than most of the mare material observed by the Apollo 8 crew. The central peak, which stands as an 'island' within the dark material at the bottom left of picture, is about 40 km (25 statute miles) long. Condition Report: Mint Condition Report Disclaimer
