Lot consists of miscellaneous photographs, books, certificates and newspapers all pertaining to World War I and World War II. A partial listing includes: Red Cross Base Hospital No. 8, Army Nurse worker's permit named to “Florence Barnhart” and dated 1918: KIA certificate named to “Private Morrace Williams, Co G, 149th Infantry”, eight letters to and from Private Williams, photo postcards of him and his grave, remembrance card and 1920's 38th Division patch : “The Ninth U.S. Infantry In The World War” book printed in Germany during occupation duty: “U.S. Magazine Rifle Model Of 1903” manual dated 1909: “Portable Flame Throwers M1 and M1A1” manual dated 1943: Four original photographs of World War I aircraft: Model 1917 rifle manual dated 1918: Cabinet card commemorating the death of Private Hosea Williams, June 28, 1918: “History Of The 42d The Rainbow Division” printed in 1919: Group of 1920's 8” X 10” photographs pertaining to the 18th Infantry Brigade: Group of laminated World War I newspapers: Four officer's commissions for Edward Francis Merchant dated 1926, 1932 and two dated 1936, with ranks from 2nd Lieutenant to Captain: Large photograph of the cadets at the Cornell School Of Military Aeronautics dated November, 1917. Also included are miscellaneous manuals, sheet music and photographs all relating to the U.S. Military during World War I and World War II.
