The subjects have been posed in reclining and seated positions, many with opened eyes and peaceful expressions. The female subjects wear patterned dresses and have coiffed hair, while the male subject has been dressed in a dark outfit with metallic buttons and a white shirt. One of the subjects has been posed with a book and wears a necklace as well as a tinted gold ring. The reclining subject has been delicately tinted with a lifelike skin tone. Provenance:Charles A. and Frances Swedlund Collection of Early Photography Condition: Good condition overall. Two of the images are half cases while the remainder retains its red velvet-lined cover. Some wear to corners and edges of cases. Images show some tarnishing but are free of major cracks and other damage. One image retains its original seal while the others have dated replacement seals.
