Lot of 12. Several printed in Cincinnati by U.P. James, 167 Walnut Street. Little Susan and Her Lamb. Philadelphia: American Sunday-School Union, n.d. [ca 1832] 2.5 x 4.25 in., printed paper wraps, 15 numb. pp. Slight water stain, mostly affecting prelims, otherwise very good. Picket, A. and John W. Picket's Primer, or First Book for Children: Designed to Precede the Spelling Book. Cincinnati: U.P. James, 1836. 3.75 x 5.75 in., blue printed wraps, 31 numb. pp. Slight toning of wraps; minor foxing on page edges; overall very good. The United States Songster. A Collection of About One Hundred and Seventy of the Most Popular Songs:... Cincinnati: U.P. James, 1836. Approx. 3 x 5 in., front wrap missing, still present on spine, 223pp. Previous owner's name on ffep, in child's hand "Olivia W. James" - related to U.P. James?? Front leaves a bit scuffed and "dog-eared," especially in upper corner (mostly from missing front wrap). Susan and Her Birthday. London: Religious Tract Society, n.d. [ca 1848]. Approx. 2.5 x 3.5 in., printed paper wraps, 8pp. A child has colored in the hair on the figures on front wrap (appears to be pencil), minor surface soil on wraps, very scattered light foxing (mostly on wraps, but a bit internal.) Very good overall. [Defoe, Daniel] The Life and Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, Who Lived Twenty-Eight Years on an Uninhabited Island. With an Account of his Deliverance. Cincinnati: U.P. James, n.d. [ca 1840s?] 3.5 x 5.5 in., printed paper wraps, 144pp. Slight toning on spine; very minor scattered foxing. Overall very good. Course of Study in Geography. A Grade. 4.75 x 6.25 in., printed paper wraps. No publisher's information or dates, but front indicates "Miami Valley News Print, Lockland, Ohio" as the printer. 22pp. [ca 1870, as it lists London's population at 3.8 million, and Chile at 2.2 million]. Internal material suggests this is for Ohio schools, since the last 16 questions deal with Ohio (cities, counties, occupations, etc.). Light surface soil; pages evenly toned. Overall very good. [Pulitzer, Joseph, Owner, New York World] Foot-prints of Time. From George Washington to Benjamin Harrison. A History of the New World. Compliments of The World, New York. 4 x 5.75 in., pages not numb., but about 50 pp. A bit of surface soil on printed wraps. Corners a bit rolled - especially upper. Overall very good. "By General Warfare." Soldier Picture Book. Chicago: M.A. Donohue & Co., 1911. 4to, chromolithographed light cardstock covers, 15pp. Color illustrations throughout. Very good. The Fast Express.
