LOT OF 7: SIX BRASS HILT SWORD BAYONETS AND ONE EXTRA SHEATH.

Beschreibung:

Lot consists of: six sword bayonets, four with scabbards, and one extra scabbard, likely a copy: (A) Mississippi Colt Alteration. 1861 date reverse ricasso. Small "G" and number "1045" on top flat near muzzle ring. (B) Plymouth Navy Rifle, Collins stamp left ricasso, number "3125" top flat next to guide mortise. "FCW" inspector stamp on pommel. CONDITION: Good to very good. Blade is dark with some standing thin brown rust spots, but edge and point are good, maker marks legible. Age toned hilt with dark stains. Spring button sticks a bit. (C) 1873/76 Winchester saber bayonet and scabbard. Scabbard black leather with brass mounts. CONDITION: Excellent. Bright blade. Toned hilt minor stains. One small ding at top of pommel next to mortise. Scabbard very good with minor wear. Patina of mounts matches hilt. (D) Ames made bayonet for 1870 USN Remington Rolling Block. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Bright blade with scattered grey spots. Clear Ames and and USN / GGS/ 1870 ricasso stamps. Inspector initials light on top flat of hilt at mortise. Age patina to brass mounts and hilt. Small pushes to upper mount. Minor scrapes and scratches to black leather finish. (E) Remington Zouave Bayonet. "BH" inspector stamp top flat near muzzle ring. CONDITION: Excellent. Bright blade. Two tiny grey spots on either side near hilt. Scabbard with cracking to finish and few losses, staining to brass and rubbing of gilt in places. (F) Unmarked bayonet in excellent condition. Blade polished bright. Likely for a Zouave, Mississipi, Henry or similar. Blade has unusually long ricasso 1-3/8" long, and narrow 1" width at the guard. Grip somewhat bright from handling. Guard and pommel toned. Brass mounted leather scabbard with brown tones, minor scuffs. Age toned mounts. (G) Scabbard. Black leather, staple fastened brass mounts with upper stud for a 21" relatively straight blade. Likely a modern copy. A good group of brass hilted sword bayonets.
