LOT OF 4: THIRD REICH SWORD AND JAPANESE SWORDS AND DAGGER.

Lot consists of: (A) Heer deluxe Dove Head sword, (B) Japanese Katana, (C) Japanese sword, and (D) Japanese dagger. (A) Early dove head sword with a 33-1/2" blade marked "Siegfried, Ernst Pack & Sohne, Waffenfabrik" with light runner and scattered marks, and a couple of tiny spots of freckling on the edge. Solid brass fittings are nicely engraved with a nice patina. Bronze wire wrapped black trylon grip is excellent, and the blade is slightly loose in its fittings. A portepee is attached. Scabbard retains 90-05% of its original black painted finish with some scratches and freckling near the throat. CONDITION: Excellent plus. (B) Japanese Katana with a 27-1/2" blade with light runner and scattered marks, with a couple of minor nicks 5" from its tip. Cloth wrapped grip has light damage with a couple of threads being loose. Steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of what appears to be repainted, and there are several 1/2" dents 7" from the tip. CONDITION: Very good. (C) Japanese officer sword with a 29" "Hamon" temper with light runner and scattered marks, and freckling near the grip fittings. Brass fittings have a heavy patina and wire wrapped grip are excellent. Nickel plated steel scabbard retains 85-90% of its finish, with light freckling and dullness throughout. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. (D) Japanese Tanto dagger with a 11" blade with light runner and scattered marks, and is likely from the Gunto period. Entire grip is undamaged. Wood scabbard is heavily lacquered and is near mint. Comes in a rayon sleeve in a wooden box. CONDITION: Near mint. WZ Name Value Blade Length 27 - 1/2" Overall Length 37" Paperwork
