Beschreibung:

The Turbo R has something that no other manufacturer can emulate: an unmistakable and deeply ingrained quality. Inside, whether at the wheel or reclining in the rear chairs, the aura is unique. This is a jewel of a motorcar, crafted to stand the test of time.' - Sports Car International. Introduced at Geneva in 1985, the Turbo R continued the modern 'Blower Bentley' theme but with the added refinement of suspension better suited to the car's increased performance. Outwardly the R differed from the preceding Mulsanne Turbo by virtue of its cast-alloy wheels shod with low-profile Pirelli tyres, while inside there was a revised fascia with rev-counter included amongst the comprehensive instrumentation. In a break with Rolls-Royce tradition, power figures were made public for the first time, revealing that the engine produced 320bhp and a staggering 475lb/ft of torque, which on the road translated into a 0-60mph time of around 7 seconds and a top speed of 143mph. Described by Autocar magazine as 'an outrageous concoction of sledgehammer performance and sybaritic luxury', the Turbo R remains as formidable now as when it debuted more than 20 years ago. Few cars were - or are - better suited to fast long-distance touring. Coachwork by the long established and highly respected firm of Hooper is the distinguishing feature of this well presented Turbo R, which cost £165,000 when new and was first owned by Michael Levene, founder/owner of Centre Parks. The car is finished in Balmoral Green with special order St James Red hide interior, the latter featuring Blaupunkt stereo and sports seats and steering wheel. 'G624 WYK' has had only four owners from new and comes with full service history with authorised Rolls-Royce/Bentley dealers and recognised marque specialists. Last serviced only 1,000 miles ago, the car is offered with MoT test certificate valid to 2011 and comes with all tools and manuals. An opportunity to acquire a most desirable high performance Bentley combining all the refinements of modern technology with the individual styling touches of a master coachbuilder.
