A special extra-illustrated copy of the 8° edition of Larwood's London Parks with additional titles. This enlarged edition appears to predate the 8° edition published by J.C.Hotten in 1872. The collection of prints gives an interesting insight into the social life based around the Royal Parks from the mid-18th Century. The plates include: 45 mezzotint portraits by Sayer, Faber, Carrington Bowles, Woodburn, Parker, of English Kings and nobility including Henry VIII, James I, James II, William Pitt George Prince of Wales, Spring, Summer, Chloe, Wilhelmina Charlotta Princess of Wales and Augusta Princess Dowager of Wales.
