Lewis Wickes Hine [1874-1940, Winsconsin, USA] - Antoinette Fazzino, ten years old, makes Irish lace for collars and waists, after school vintage gelatin-silver print - approximately 12 x 17cm the original typed label of the National Child Labor Committee pasted verso on the mount reads, taken from another copy of this print, reads '2808 New York City Jan. 1912. Antoinette Fazzino, ten years old, makes Irish lace for collars and waists, after school Her younger brother (by the stove) said, ''Lace is too dam-cheap'. Antoinette wears glasses.' 303 E 149th Street, NY the boys in the front, row 4th and 5th from the left, were apparently marked up in blue pencil by Hine as a section blow-up for inclusion on a campaign poster.
