LAWRENCE GIVES PERMISSION FOR KORDA'S FILM VERSION OF "REVOLT IN THE DESERT," AND SUGGESTS THE HE MIGHT BE PLAYED BY LESLIE HOWARD Lawrence writes to Buxton, conceding to Korda: "Well, if they want to film the rotten book, they must. Will you please try and arrange for the scenario to be shown you...and for me to see it, before it is used? And then for the film (before any showing to Press or Trade) to be shown to you...and me to accompany you? I am so desirous of keeping the flesh they cut to its exact poundage....and to give as little offence as possible. Stirling--yes, I suppose he would be the best of our party: more savoir commerce! The poor little man will delght in a job. As for the actor to play me....well, Walter Hudd was magnificent....but perhaps Leslie Howard might be more unlike, which would be an advantage!... "
