Lot of 6, including: Real photo postcard of Hall-of-Famer Ralph Kiner (1922-2014) taking a practice swing, signed in ballpoint pen across his hips. Trade card of J.W. Reccius/ Dealer in Base Ball Supplies and General Sporting Goods/ Louisville, KY. John W. Reccius (1859-1930) played professionally for the Louisville Eclipse of the American Association in 1882 and 1883. The American Association is considered a major league, and Baseball Reference lists Reccius as the 517th player in MLB history based on the date of his debut. He had a career pitching record of 4-6 with a 3.00 ERA and batted .219 with 72 hits including one home run. 8 x 10 in. press photograph of the 1939 World Series Champion New York Yankees. Instruction booklet for Lawson's Patent Game/ A Perfect Game of Base Ball with Cards, patented to Sept. 16, 1884 and proclaiming to be "The Greatest Invention of the Age" and "As a scientific pastime...universally admitted to be superior of all other games.." Booklet is 2-3/8 x 3-1/8 in. 16 numbered pages. 1948 Bowman Gum Co. card of Johnny Mize, 2 x 2.5 in. Lithographed postcard of the 1950 NL Champion Philadelphia Phillies
