Beschreibung:

Introduced in 1990, the Rover 400 was an upmarket saloon version of the Rover 200 hatchback launched the previous year. Backbone of Rover's range throughout the 1990s and beyond, the front-wheel-drive 200 was based on the Concerto produced by technical collaborators Honda, and could be had with a variety of engines including the UK manufacturer's new 16-valve K-Series unit. The four-door 400 used the same platform and running gear and was virtually identical to the 200 from the C-post forwards. Rover's new M16 2-litre 16-valve engine became available in both models the following year alongside a pair of Peugeot-sourced diesels. The first five-door Touring (estate) version appeared in the summer of 1994, the year Rover passed from British Aerospace to BMW ownership, and in 1995 the 400 was totally revised using the contemporary Honda Civic platform as the basis, this being the final appearance of a Honda-based model. Presented in 'as new' condition with minimal delivery mileage only under its wheels, 'S857 WOM' is the last 'R8' model produced. Delivery notes and plastic upholstery covers are still in place. The vehicle has the glass sunroof and five-speed manual transmission, and is offered with owner's handbook, all specification cards and Swansea V5.
