Laser 1970 Design drawing by Giovanni Michelotti. Pencil and tempera on blue cardboard. 3/4 front view. Frame sizes: 19.29 x 27.17 in. The color photos of the period depict the car finished in the same color as on the sketch: coarse-grained metallic blue. Displayed for the first time at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show, after making some minor changes to the design and color of the exterior it was revived at the Montreal Motor Show in 1972. Built with a central engine, the design is characterized by an extremely penetrating line with a maximum height from the ground of only 1080 mm. The very wide front allowed to insert under the body an effective cooling system able to channel the air to the engine. Access to the passenger compartment is permitted thanks to large gull-wing doors. The car still exists and was exhibited at the 2nd Tokyo Elegance Competition.
