Title: Large collection of poster stamps Author: Poster Stamp Album Place: [St. Louis, MO] Publisher: Date: [1900's-1918] Description: With approximately 467 poster stamps all tipped in with their original gummed adhesive backs, housed in 11x9" paper album covers with 3 colorful stamps affixed on front cover. The collection was put together by a young lad in St. Louis, MO and dated 1918 with his penciled ownership signature. A wonderful collection of poster stamps, including many printing and engraving companies from the St. Louis area, stamps from the 1915 San Francisco Fair, Beech-Nut preserves, Wells Fargo Express, YMCA, Laclede Gas Light Co., Cleveland Trust Co., Hinds Cream, The Youths Companion, various printing paper companies, Evinrude motors, Ivory Pyralin, Mo-Jo Chewing Gum, US Cartridges, Cant Bust Em Overalls, Third Liberty Loan and a host of other companies and subjects. Lot Amendments Condition: The stamps are all very good to fine, stuck in place mostly with only the upper half of the adhesive gum. The light groundwood paper pages of the book are in a deteriorated and totally separated state, but the stamps are all at least very good to fine and could be soaked off or manually removed with ease.
