Also with 3 empty cases, highlighted by a whole plate papier-mâché book-style case with mother of pearl inlay, along with two sixteenth plate cases, one leather and one pressed paper. Some images feature children with parents or siblings, including a quarter plate daguerreotype of a mother and child, a curiously composed sixth plate daguerreotype of two boys in matching bow ties, and a sixth plate daguerreotype of an affectionately posed brother and sister wearing patterned clothing. Also with a charming ninth plate daguerreotype of a young girl in a smocked dress, a sixth plate daguerreotype of a woman seated at a table with a book, a sixth plate daguerreotype of a corpulent gentleman, a sixth plate daguerreotype of a bearded fellow housed in a plain velvet oval half case, and a ninth plate portrait of a woman housed in a plain velvet oval case. Of particular note is a quarter plate daguerreotype of a husband and wife seated side by side, with a young girl standing between them, identified as Lucretia Harry (?) with her second husband Edwin Booth and his daughter. Subject of the sixteenth plate ambrotype is also identified as "Em. Ornsby," taken in 1858 when she was nineteen years old. Condition: Many housed in half cases or full cases partially or completely separated at spines. Condition of plates varies; please refer to digital images.
