It officially marked its name in 1925 as one of 30 out of 400 companies selected to exhibit at the seminal Exposition des Art Décoratifs in Paris. Their stand was in the centre of the room, flanked by Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. Its objects and innovative jewellery received great acclaim, followed by it winning Grand Prix for their exhibition. Beginning 1930s, under the post-war impression and drive for investment and security, the Maison created an array of matching gold jewellery. To make the imposing ensembles lighter, jewellers applied twisting, knotting and braiding designs and techniques, and casted ruby, sapphire and turquoise accents. Lot 683 is a prominent example of the era. A design drawing of a similar 'gaspipe and scroll' design in necklace and bracelet, set with rubies, is documented in 'Lacloche Joailliers', p.284.
