The chart shows the track of the Endeavour from Cook's first voyage, with dates and soundings. The interior of the islands reflects the mountainous topography.Cook's fame as a cartographer is based to a significant extent on his mapping of New Zealand on his first Pacific voyage of exploration. Lot Amendments Condition: Right margin trimmed close to neat line, other margins previously folded over when in earlier frame, with archivally repaired tear along one of them; a few small soil spots to map, clean and near fine with crisp impression.
