FIRST EDITION. Kippis obtained his information for the first biography of Cook from the Admiralty in the Navy. In addition to lacking particulars about Cook's personal life, the volume finds Cook aboard several ships on which he never served. Sabin 37954; Mitchell Library Cook 32; Holmes 69.
