Lightly toned, gently polished and a few small surface marks, good very fine. ex A H Baldwin & Sons Ltd, September, 1948, 7/- Private John Ross of Cardross, Dumbartonshire, Scotland, enlisted for service with the Scots Guards on the 8th of February 1892 at London, having previously served with the 3rd Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. He served with the colours for a total of 12 years, including two and a half in South Africa, and had a rather chequered disciplinary record. He was discharged on the 1st of February 1904. Sold with copy service papers and copy roll mention, showing entitlement to an additional three-clasp QSA.
