Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) Two woodcuts; Koshu Inume toge (Inume Pass, Kai province), from the series Fugaku sanjurokkei (Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji), travellers and pack animals toiling up a steep slope, signed Hokusai aratame Iitsu hitsu (drawn by Hokusai, who has changed his name to Iitsu), publisher Nishimura Yohachi (Eijudo); and the poem of Motoyoshi Shinno, from the series Hyakunin isshu uba ga etoki (The hundred poems as told by the nurse), signed Zen Hokusai manji and published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo)--good impressions, generally good color, slightly toned and stained, binding holes oban yoko-e : 10¼ x 15in.
