A fine metal-inlaid five-case lacquer inro Edo period (1615-1868), 19th century Bearing a kinji ground and decorated in high-relief gold takamaki-e with embellishments of hirame and kirikane with Shoki applied in gold, copper, shibuichi and shakudo takazogan, the reverse with two oni hiding in a grotto in copper, gold and shakudo takazogan, the interiors nashiji, signed Kajikawa saku with a red pot seal and Aya Noriyuki (Design by Noriyuki), for the metal work, nashiji interiors; fitted with a silvered metal cylindrical ojime carved with flowers 4in (10.1cm) high
