Ward (Marcus). Marcus Ward's Fable Picturebook Containing Twenty-four pPctures, in Colors of Animals and their Masters. With the Fables from Aesop, told in verse by Hain Friswell, Marcus Ward & Co., circa 1870s, chromo plates, a few marks, original decorated red cloth gilt, rubbed and some light discolouration and corners bumped and very slightly frayed, oblong 4to, together with: Paul (Evelyn, illustrator). The New Life by Dante Alighieri, translated by Dante Gabriel Rossetti George G. Harrap & Co Ltd., circa 1910, tipped-in colour plates, top edge gilt, original blind decorated brown morocco, with brass corner bosses, large 8vo, plus: Thomson (Hugh, illustrator). Our Village by Mary Russell Mitford, Macmillan & Co, 1893, monochrome illustrations, all edges gilt, original gilt-decorated blue-green cloth, generally in bright condition, and: Barker (Cicely Mary). The Book of The Flower Fairies, Blackie & Son, circa 1930s, colour plates, original green cloth gilt, a few minor marks, 8vo, plus other mostly late 19th and early 20th century children's and illustrated books, including pictorial cloth noves, Enid Blyton, Beatrix Potter reprinted editions, etc, mainly original cloth, many 8vo (Qty: 6 shelves)
