Transition was founded by the editor and poet Eugene Jolas and his wife Maria. Between April 1927 and April-May 1938 they ran serially all of Part I, the first three chapters of Part II and all of Part III of Finnegans Wake. This lot includes nine of those issues. Two Worlds Monthly reprinted 14 episodes of Ulysses in bowdlerised form between July 1926 and October 1927. Eleven are included in this lot. The unauthorised publication provo
