Lewis (pencil signature on front pastedowns, with his note of purchase in volume II: "bought as waste paper for 1/- the 2 vols. in the little shop on Sawbridge Village Green in 1848," his note in purple crayon on pages 160-161 of volume II, and pencilled references on rear pastedowns) -- W.H.
