JOHN TAYLOR, LONDON AN 18 CARAT GOLD OPEN FACE POCKET WATCH, CIRCA 1836 Movement: Full plate Case: 18 carat gold three piece hinged case, the back cover with engine turned decoration and a circular vacant reserve, hallmarked London 1836 Dial: Silvered and gilt Size: 41mm Signed: Movement Accessories: Suspended on a gold articulated fancy link chain, winding key Condition Report: Movement is not currently functioning. We have been unable to gain access to the movement to be able to report its condition. Dial appears to be in an average condition with some light marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. Hands show marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Engine turning worn Hinges appear intact. Watch - 61g gross Chain - Mark rubbed, 38g This lot does not come with box or papers. Dreweatts 1759 do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by a qualified technician to ensure any stated water resistance is achieved.
