Lot 5226 John Lennon - a jacket reputedly worn and owned by John Lennon John Lennon - a jacket reputedly worn and owned by John Lennon Teal Blue Nehru 3/4 length Jacket, mandarin collar, slight flared sleeves With statement of provenance The jacket was removed from Lennon's Tittenhurst Park home in 1971 by Jo Jo Johns, following Lennon's move to the US. As PA to the Beatles, Johns was charged with clearing Lennon's house, she later gave the jacket to her friend Tony Goddard as a birthday present. For 25 years, Mr Goddard has had the jacket on display at his Leicestershire home ''The jacket was given to me at one of my birthday parties in the early 70s,'' said Mr Goddard. ''Jo Jo was a good friend and she had acquired a lot of abandoned belongings from the band members.''
