John Dickson & Son side by side top lever double-barrelExpress rifle, .500 cal., London and black powder proof barrels with ejectors, a highly scroll engraved receiver, trigger guard, lever and tang, a gold-filled safe indicator, a right-handed English walnut stock with a cheek rest, a pistol grip with checkering to the wrist and fore end and a brass escutcheon on the butt stock, serial#4655, 28" barrels. Condition:The 28" rifled barrels retain good rifling and bluing. They are labeled "John Dickson & Son; 63 Princess St., Edinburgh" on the rib. They are marked with London and Black Powder proofs. The scrollwork to the receiver is of the highest quality and trigger guard retain much of their original blue. The pistol gripped English walnut stock has minor scratches and dents and the numbers "9" over "755" approximately 1/8" high stamped behind the rear sling swivel pivot. The pull is 14 1/2" and the drop is 1 3/4". Condition is fine.
