Jersey International Road Race early Formula 1 memorabilia , comprising the 1948,1949, 1950 and 1952 official souvenir programmes, 1947 and 1950 post-race report editions of the Jersey Morning News, an autograph book bearing the 1948 ink signatures of George Abecassis, John Heath, 1947 race-winner Reg Parnell, and G N Richardson, the latter with a small drawing of a racing car, also a hand-written 3-page list of the 1948 race lap times for Thailand's Prince Bira in his Maserati, plus three torn ticket passes for the Victoria Avenue grandstand (11) This event was held between 1947 and 1950 over a fast 3.2-mile circuit along the St. Helier seafront. It was open to the then current Formula 1 cars of 1.5-litres supercharged, or 4.5-litres unsupercharged, and was the first such race to take place post-WWII in the British Isles. It pre-dated both Goodwood and Silverstone, but was cancelled in 1951 and did not survive after being held for sportscars in 1952.
