Gradually incorporating plastic elements into his work, Farhi focused most of his attention on methylpolymethacrylate, and after much travel to Rome, developed a close relationship with the manufacturers of Plexiglas. With work ranging from small scale sculptures to architectural installations, Farhi’s designs embody the bold spirit of the 1960s and 1970s with its expressive use of bright contrasting colors, innovative plastics and metals in geometric forms.
