James Abbott McNeill Whistler (American, 1834-1903) Lot of Two Thames Views: Thames Warehouses, 1959, second state of two (Kennedy, 38); and Old Westminster Bridge, 1859, probably the second state of two (Kennedy, 39). Both signed and dated within the plate. Etchings on paper, plate sizes approximately 3 x 8 in. (7.5 x 20.3 cm), framed. Condition: Margins over 1 inch, toning and foxing (primarily to Bridge), not examined out of frames. N.B. Both of these images were included in Whistler's Sixteen Etchings of the Scenes on the Thames, published in 1871.
