A fine and rare special edition 18K pink gold perpetual calendar minute repeating split second chronograph tourbillon wristwatch with phases of the moon Signed International Watch Company, Schaffhausen, Il Destriero Scafusia model, No. 21/125, circa 1993 Cal. 1868, with finely engraved and skeletonized gilt-finished movement, one minute tourbillon escapement with gold balance and three-armed titanium carriage, 76 jewels, minute repeating on two gongs, the silvered matte dial with Roman numerals, Arabic five minute divisions in red, one blued steel and one red chronograph hand, four subsidiary dials indicating phases of the moon combined with 30 minute register, constant seconds combined with day, date, and month combined with 12 hour register, aperture for year, the massive case with sapphire display back secured six screws, bordered by International Watch Com. 1868-1993, Il Destriero Scafusia, No. 21/125 in relief, raised bezel and downturned lugs, repeat slide in the band, split second chronograph mechanism operated by two rectangular buttons in the band and through the crown, together with an 18K pink gold IWC buckle, Presentation Certificate, International Guarantee, instruction booklet, additional book on the 125th Anniversary of IWC and the making of the Il Destriero Scafusia, IWC original fitted mahogany presentation box with marquetry inlay depicting the town of Schaffhausen and outer packaging, case, dial and movement signed 42 mm. diam.
