Provenance: A Portion of the Harold Arlen Archives, Property of Mrs. Rita Arlen The 1948 Technicolor musical film Easter Parade starred Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, Peter Lawford and Ann Miller. the film featured songs by Irving Berlin including some of his best known: "Easter Parade", "Steppin' Out with My Baby", and "We're a Couple of Swells." A fine association between Berlin and his long time friend and contemporary, Harold Arlen. Berlin thought quite highly of Arlen and said of him "Harold's best is the best."
