Laid in is a signed letter on "Winners of the West" stationery from George W. Webb to Mr. Robert Bruce regarding a future issue of the newsletter. Winners of the West was "The only Paper in the United States of America Devoted Exclusively to the Pension Interests of Veterans, Widows and Orphan Children of 'Indian Wars' and survivors of the Old Army of the Plains." Scarce reference on the U.S. Indian Wars from 1790 to 1898, providing numerous names and exact dates in chronological order. Includes entries for the Battle of Little Big Horn (Custer's Last Stand), June 25-26, 1876.
