including British and continental costume, portrait, narrative, architecture and landscape subjects, including 2 original watercolours of elegant French interior scenes by G. Texier interspersed with cut-out floral, fruit and bird ornament, mostly original watercolours, including numerous floral cartouches containing manuscript verses and riddles, these and some captions in English, original watercolours, 18th and early 19th century engravings, stipple-engravings, mezzotints and lithographs, many printed in colours or with original hand-colouring, many as cut-outs but some trimmed to the entire image, v.s., mounted on both sides of c.75 album leaves, some with just a single large image, each leaf c.415 x 500mm., the Texier watercolours each c.220 x 300mm., a few smaller leaves loosely inserted, occasional surface dirt, full diced calf, worn, gilt-lettered label on upper board of Madame de Bonanny, upper joint broken, oblong folio, [early 19th century]. *** A handsome example of an early 19th century collector album.
