(8vo) original pictorial blue cloth stamped in gilt and white, top edge gilt. Second Edition. Signed by the author on a blank early leaf. With a few laid in items: 1 page autograph note, signed from Eunice Whitney (the author's widow) thanking the recipient, Annie B. Spaulding of Mystic, CT. for the flowers she sent, with envelope, dated 1941; a card from Eunice Whitney to Spaulding, with envelope on mourning stationary. Dated 1936; plus a few newspaper clippings about Harry Whitney. The first edition was published in 1910. Classic account of hunting walrus, narwhal, muskox and other game among the Eskimos of Canada's Baffin Bay and Ellesmere Land.
