"In the preface Hulsius points out the mistakes in the De Bry's edition of Schmidel's voyages. These mistakes refer mainly to the names of places. Hulsius claims to have used the original text. Schmidel's portrait is very well engraved, and the map very accurate... Schmidel's voyage was first printed in the Feyerabend collection in 1567" (Borba-de Moraes).
