In summer they were made with short sleeves. Buttonholes were made by hand and buttons were always mother of pearl. He would wear one a day, and for every new season's collection a quantity of fresh new 'blouses' would be ready. This long sleeved one was taken from an original pattern taken from the blouse of his close friend Cristobal Balenciaga..
