Horatio Nelson 1801 (24 Jan.) one page letter in his hand, addressed to Lady Hamilton and signed on the address panel "Nelson" ; the contents include "Tell Lord Holland I was very sorry not to have called but you know my intentions and how sensible I am of his goodness to me when I was last in England and although in the way of wishing well to our dear Country we may think differently, yet I am sure we both love her equally, and would lay down our lives if necessary to save her from being humbled by France" . Marked in manuscript "Plymouth Dock" on the front together with identical postal marking and fine red wax seal. A lovely item. Photo
