Taylor et al., 1722 (M.DCC.XXII). 8vo, full leather, five spine bands, gilt on leather spine label, 448pp. Front bd. detached, as is ffep. Rear bd. holding, barely. Previous owners' names on ffep and tp, the latter crossed out with ink. Stuart, James. Three Years in North America. New York: J. & J. Harper, 1833, Vol. II (of 2). 8vo, cloth with paper spine label, 337pp plus 2pp ads. Cloth splitting at spine. Sun discoloration. Scattered foxing and wrinkling from moisture. Waldo, S. Putnam. Memoirs of Andrew Jackson Major-General in the Army of the United States and Commander of the Division of the South. Hartford: J. & W. Russell, 1819. 12mo, full leather, 336pp. This dates from before Jackson's run for President, and celebrates his victories in the War of 1812, especially the Battle of New Orleans. Front board and ffep separated, rear board barely holding; text block together. Moderate foxing and scattered water stains. Goodrich, Charles A. A History of the United States of America; from the Discovery of the Continent by Christopher Columbus, to the Present Time:... Hartford: H.F. Sumner & Co., 1838. 8vo, full leather, gilt lettering and devices on spine, 540pp. Front bd. detached and badly warped by water. Extensive water stain top half. In spite of the water stains, surprisingly little toning, but there is foxing in formerly damp areas. Morris, Charles and Leigh, Oliver H.G., eds. The Great Republic by the Master Historians. New York: R.S. Belcher Co., 1902, Vol. II. 8vo, maroon cloth, 364pp. Sunning of spine. Moderate wear to spine ends, slight damage to upper crns.
