HENRY VII (1457-1509), King of England, Lord of Ireland. Document on vellum, chancery document settling a suit about the manor of Northstead, Westminster, 1 February 1487/8. In Latin. 25 lines in a chancery hand on one membrane, 266 x 435mm (minor discolouration and marginal creasing), Great Seal of Henry VII in brown wax pendant on vellum tag. A document with the Great Seal of Henry VII. Letters patent settling a suit of Sir Ralph Hastings, Roger Lachbury, John Doneton, Thomas Gradman and Nicholas Radyssh against John Onedale for the manor of Northstead comprising 250 acres of land, 200 acres of pasture, 100 acres of woods and 50 shillings of rents in Chelsfield, Farnham and 'Dodeham' Sir Ralph Hastings (d.1495) had been a prominent Yorkist supporter during the Wars of the Roses, though his enthusiasm may have waned after his brother William, Baron Hastings was beheaded by Richard III.
